Malaron tablet is know for its anti-malarial properties. It contains Atovaquone and Proguanil as its main constituents. The drug is considered to be very effective against P.Falciparum malaria. It can also be used for a range of malaria types, however, certain malarial types has developed resistence against the drug. But still it can be used to control a range of conditions.
Malaron is not only useful in treating various forms of malaria, it can also be effectively used in the prevention of malaria. The drug helps in starting the prevention treatment 1-2 days before entering a malaria infected region and for 7 days after leaving.The tablet is available in both adult as well as pediatric versions.
